KU bushings are 3-layer bearings made of a metal strip with a PTFE layer. The bearings are especially suited for oscillating motion, bearing assemblies with frequent starts and stops, or where it is necessary to obtain minimum dry friction when lubrication is not an option.
Because friction is very low, B10 (KU) bearings can be used without additional lubrication. B10 (KU) bearings are resistant to most common media. The thin layer that forms the functional surface should be carefully protected against damage during assembly and also protected against overheating, e.g. during welding.
